please help with newb CarPC

i want to set up a car PC, but i have a few questions, first off is it possible to have the PC in the boot, but have a DVD rom drive in the glovebox, and if so how do i do this, is it possible without an external drive? also can i get the pc to turn on when the car turns on and make an external power swith to the dash and how do i do this? and where can i get the software from (suchy as road runner) thanks

you can put a pc in the boot no probs
you can also use a usb dvd rom in the glove box
usb extention will do this no probs
most dc-dc power supply's have startup/shut down
control
as for software look in the software section there is more info there
