Video clip of system in operation

Hi guys... ok after a LOT of struggling... i made this video. Its only 5mins long! but going from a file size of 2GB (DV) to something thats reasonable quality and under 20mb was very difficult.

You must have DIVX 5.0 to see it. Or you will only hear audio.

Some notes.... this is a test run...obviously there are some bugs. Like the white line on the side of the visuals screen etc. I also plan to remove RAIN cpu cooler... it causes some flickering lines to appear on the desktop when screens are loading. Probably due to those HLT cpu commands that reduces cpu workload causing areas of it to sleep. It does work to reduce temps by 5C... but there should be a better program than that. Oh and only the audio player has that 3D look... i wanted to see how it looked on the lcd first, before i did that to the other sections.

I didnt have a dvd around either... so i didnt show one playing.. and i didnt demo the Voice recognition this time... this bloody video is big enuf!!

Video from FTP site

Btw i deleted my other post... if u want to see the glove box install pics.... they are here

Looks very nice vickumar. The glovebox install is slick.

One question, though. How do you use that while driving?! Lotsa button pushing going on and it seems a little outta reach for the driver. Any remotes in your future?

Thanks... I call my car the Chrysler PC Cruiser

Actually its not too far off from the driver... on my previous box, i had 16 buttons! worked fairly smoothly reaching over to press stuff. Button count is down to 7... less hunting thru tons of buttons.

Most of the main controls like play, stop, pause, next, prev, etc. are all one click away all the time... some of the other less critical buttons that i wont be pressing all the time are two clicks away, like vis, file info etc, using the toggle key.

Also all the functions are available through voice commands. I found myself using that about 50% of the time... no button pushing... just say what u want like "Comand next" and it does it.

Im not sure about a remote... its sort of just an extention of the faceplate... more buttons to press, so it takes your eyes off the road. I will probably go with touchscreen instead.
