psp to amp & RCA Y adapters

hi guys,

sorry if this is the wrong place
sorry if this question have been asked already
I did search, I did google
so please no flames

so I have two questions,
here comes :

I have a "conventional" car system and I want to feed MP3 into it
I have a PSP and can't find a clever way to plug it in
I'd like to rip the HU and use only the PSP
it works ! but it's about 1/4 as loud as the HU
I thought it would be easy to find some kind of preamp but NO !
google floods me with stupid psp accessories
or FM/tape adapters that I don't want
car centers sale guys open wide eyes like "do WHAT ?"
can't find the trick !

also
my door speakers are fed from the HU directly
I plan to use a small amp to replace this (if/when I find a solution for the previous point) but this amp only have a RCA input, no output.
for my two big amps, the one driving the woofer has input/output so it's fed by the RCA from the HU and it feeds the amp for the medium speakers
I'd figure I could use some Y RCA adapters that I have but I'm not sure if this is correct...is it ?
when I was doing studio, I know we used them but not sure it's the same stuff here (symetric/assymetric/whatever ?)

TIA for your help.
tchuss !

Find a good quality Preamp/EQ. It will will take the signal from your PSP make is good for your amps. And then you can put as many amps as you want. You will get a few sets of RCA outputs from the preamp. And subwoofer control as well.

It doens't really get rid of the whole "deck" but does add some great sound processing. Also you can wire 3 amps directy to it. with High-voltage outputs.

you don't need a PSP pre-amp. when you are searching, you are probably looking with "PSP" as a term. Dont. Just look for audio preamp that accepts 1/8 stereo and outputs whatever your amp will take (RCA's probably).

No need for PSP stuff. If you can plug headphones in, you can plug a preamp in.
