Chevy Tahoe - Rear AC/Heat control unit

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right section...but I was wondering if anyone knew how to detach the rear ac/heat control unit that is in the center of the roof of the car. I drive a 2001 Chevy Tahoe and reason why I ask this question is because it rattles when I use my system and I want to eliminate that rattling noise. Also, if anyone knows how to remove those 2 black things w/ vents that are on the left and right side of the rear window on the exterior of the car. Thanks for your time.

i know this post is old as hell but i figured id shoot you an answer anyways... if you remove the rear climate controls the rear heat and a/c will not work anymore. front controls or not those rear controls need to be in the system. the closest i have successfully gotten to removing those controls is relocating them to allow an overhead to be installed in there place
