Webcam For A Backup Cam?

http://www.thetechgeek.com/content/p...id=9322&cid=94

How would something like this measure up as a backup cam? I see that it as 6 nightvision LED's so I think that would be a plus..... Although I think the majority of people on here use an actual cam vs a webcam.... But what are your opinions on using this particular cam?

TIA

a webcam usually is made with a cmos camera... expect less than spectacular results.. depends what's good enough for you, any image is better than no image, but if you depend on the image for anything more than a novelty then get a real camera...

I would spend the extra money to get a higher quality camera. There's other things to consider like build quality and clarity in different situations.

Less than spectacular? lol Alright, fair enough...

Well I wouldnt use it for a novelty. I would actually want to be able to use this, and see stuff around me and such. So quality does matter. But I figured for $15 bucks with UV LED's... It sounded cheap

I bought this exact camera. It's not worth the price at all. The image is absolutely horrible, and extremely slow refresh/repsonse time.
