anyway - i'm a huge media center fan. I have several at home and at work (work for MS) and I want to run Vista in my car.
Has anyone tried running Vista on one of these ITX boards? Is it possible to use Micro-ATX in a car with the DC-DC power supplies? It seems like it would be easier to build a beefier box with micro-ATX especially since Vista needs a pretty beefy video card for all the media center 3D menu animations.
open to any suggestions or advice.
thanks,
dan
I run a micro ATX with a 200watt dc/dc PS. This is with a 72 watt AMD processor, 256mg Nvidia 6200, and two stick of DDR. I am probably right at the limit of the 200watts though. I will soon be replacing this with a spare 939 board and AMD 64 3200, because this processor uses less power.
