Peculiar Issue - Keyfob only works sometimes

My computer works nearly perfectly (with one software issue I have not figured out yet) but I have this one pesky problem. SOMETIMES, I can not lock my car with the keyfob until the pc completely hibernates. Once it hibernates, all keyfob functions work; trunk, lock, unlock, panic. Sometimes while going into hibernate all functions work as well. Then about 30% of the time, the buttons just don't work. Any ideas?

Could be one of two things:
Interference -- shield your CarPC better and look for loose connections and looped wires. Test this by using the keyfob at various distances from the car. Also, it would be nice to know where the receiver is, so you could aim towards it and see if it helps.
Smart Car -- your car detects a load on the electrical system and it won't let you lock it up, forcing you to ensure you haven't left the headlights on.

Oh yeah, check the batteries on the keyfob as well...

Thanks for the quick reply. I do not know where the receiver is but I can operate the fob at various distances when pc is off from very close to very far.
I think the second option is what it is but I was not sure. The thing I don't get is why does it work sometimes?
Batteries are good and other keyfob has similar results.
Lastly, it might be the receiver but I like option 2. So do I live with it or can I do something about it?

Research if it's option #2 indeed.

Check with knowledgeable members on Altima forums...

Oh yeah, and read the car manual, especially see if it talks about forgetting to turn off you headlights.
