Girder and Remote button

I am using the igor plugin and a simple USB reciever with frodoplayer.

When i am learning the signal sometimes girder detects one code and sometimes it detects a different one for the same button. Also it detects the same codes for two different buttons.

What gives?

I tried a different remote (lilliput rc) and it worked.

Damn.... Is there anything i can do besides switching remotes. I searched and searched and found the perfect remote, so switching isn't an option.

Well you can try a different reciever, but it's likely the remote is funky.

Some remote brands send thier IR codes formatted differently. I had almost the same problem with my HTPC and USB-UIRT receiver. I'd get a different IR code everytime unless I was inches from the receiver. Turned out to something strange with the USB power from the motherboard. Worked fine on a powered hub.
