Seting up girder?

I played around with this for about an hour and never got it to work. I'm using the last compleatly free girder that was released.

Basicly I need to know how to set it up so when I hit a button on my remote it will play winamp.

I got it to learn the even from my usb IR reciver and thought I had it set up to send the correct key to winamp but it dosn't do it.

Any help would be great thanks.

I now this is old, did you give up on it?
Did you load the Winamp .GML file into Girder. It has all the Winamp buttons already programed. You then just match the command to the remote button using the learn feature.

Try the Girder forums or look in this forum under Winamp or Girder. Typically you would get the GML file for your frontend.

Since RR is controlling everything you want the RR gml file. I can't remember exactly were I found it, just Send me your email address and I'll Send it to you.

Jason:
Does the GML file only allow Girder to run RR? I'm looking for a way for RR to tell Girder to fire an IR command to other hardware, which I've loaded a GML file for. I notice Girder has an event.exe command line tool but I was wondering if RR could talk to Girder more efficiently.

Girder interprets your IR signals to control just about any software program. I only have the RR GML file. Each program needs it's own GML file.

Do you have both a IR reciever AND transmitter? I don't know if a single unit can recieve and transmit. I never looked into that.

I don't know if RR can talk to Girder. I think it can. You'll need to go to the Girder Forums. http://www.promixis.com/forums/
