Volume Control Problem

I'm just beginning to use Girder 3.2.9 and both ProgDVB and Winamp are working well with my Logitech Harmany 525. But I've the same Problem with both programmes. The commands for Volume+ and Volume- are only elapsed one time, even if i keep pressing the button. So I've to push the button on my remote for quite some times to in-/decrease the sound volume. I want Girder to repat the command as long as I press the button.
Can sb help me please?

Did you check to make sure there was not a long delay programmed to those buttons in Girder?

Also make sure there are not 2 girder icons in your system tray.

What IR reciever are you using?

The delay is set to 0. I've also tried to use a short delay but same result. The volume is increasing/decreasing one step. The IR receiver is a standard com-port receiver which was a part of pinnacle pctv-pro bundle. With pinnacle original software and original remote control the volume changing works.

With Girder are you using a specific plugin for the pinnacle pctv-pro?
There are usually a few settings you can change in the plugin that can make a difference.

OK...I found the solution for my problem....Girder is only sending one command even if you keep pushing the button. I pressed the Volume+ button on my remote before I clicked on Learn in Girder and now it works...quite simple but, as I said, I'm new to this prog.....
Thanks

I'm using a credit card remote and a simple serial IR reciever. Then I have a PAC SWI-X steering wheel device. It translates the steering wheel buttons into an IR signal that the reciever can see. So I kind of have two remotes that do the same thing. The small remote repeats the signal fine everytime, but the PAC is very unpredictable. Sometimes it repeats the signal just perfect and other times I have to hit the button repeatedly. I can't really find any pattern to it.

So could you explain in more detail how you fixed yours?

When you click "learn event" in Girder you should already be pushing the button on your remote control. Then I set the anti-repeat time to 100-150ms and now it works perfect for me.

All applications are changing volume constantly and in an acceptable speed with this settings.

OK, so your saying to hold down the remote button before you hit the LEARN button so that the code will already be repeating?
I usually hit the learn button AND THEN hit the remote button, but you may be on to something there. I'll give that a try.
