IG3 Issue
I have IGuidance 3 and the bu-353 antenna. The red LED light is flashing, and when I go to the GPS info program it detects the GPS on Com5. However, whenever I go into the program it says it doesn't detect the device. When I originally installed the program on my computer and plugged the antenna in it worked fine. I did this inside my house about a month before I installed it in my car. Now that it is in my car it won't work. I originally had the antenna mounted under some plastic in my dash, but I know moved it temporarily to the window, to try to see if it just wasn't getting a signal. It still doesn't work? Any suggestions?

And you did the autodetect-gps thing in iGuidance?
And if you are using RR, do that outside of RR, not by clicking the GPS button. Once the com is set and saved, close out iG, and start RR. Then the settings will work there too.

Where is the autodetect feature? Is it in the gpsinfo program or iguidance itself? Sorry if this has been posted before.

It's in the File Menu in the same spot where you select the COM port, either at the top or the bottom of the list (don't have the IG installed on this machine so I can't remember exactly)...

Go into your device manager, see what com the antenna is at, then set the correct com in ig.

Are you using XPort 3?
If so, make sure that iGuidance is NOT set to the same port that XPort is replicating, Also, if you're using RR, try setting the port in RRConfig to different port than IG as well.

I am not running xport. I did the device manager thing, and found my antenna was on com port 5. I have tried accessing it through rr and without rr. Neither method works. in the gpsinfo program i set the com port to 5, and when i scan the com ports it says gps device under com 5. The red light is blinking on the gps antenna too. I guess I will need to find the autodetect unless anyone else has any ideas as to what the problem could be.

Run iGuidance stand alone, click on tools then gps Options and click auto detect.

Where is the tools menu? I think that I have that hidden because it is running full screen. I do not know how to make the menu reappear.
