Weird iGuidance problem

I have a Delorme Earthmate, and recently upgraded from iGuidance 2.1 to 3.0. I had no problems whatsoever with 2.1 with the Delorme Serial emulator.

Well, I install 3.0, and run the auto detect, and it picks up the GPS Antenna under the proper port. I was getting a signal from the light on the GPS, however, iGuidance was not showing a fix. After restarting the computer, I fired up iGuidance through RR, and this time I pick up my location on iG.

So, I start driving around, everything seems to be working OK. The next day, same problem- getting a signal from the antenna, but iG will not pick up its location. I pull over, restart RR and iG, and I go into the iG menu, and open up the GPS info, and it suddenly picks up 11/11 satellites and works fine again.

Now, it seems that whenever I don't get a signal, and I open up the GPS info on iG, it will occasionally pick up satellites and work. This only works sometimes though, sometimes I'm getting nothing. I've run the autodetect several times, and every time it's picking up the antenna in the proper port.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? This sucks, because I really need the GPS to function properly for my job, where I do a lot of traveling around to different locations.

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you get this fixed. I was kind of having the same problem. Everything was running fine for more than a year. Than I unplugged my USB GPS and plugged it into another USB port.
The problem I had is that RR/LSXVoid was using the same COM port number for the GPS SPEED as was IG3. I changed it so that RR/LSXVoid was not using the same port as IG3 and all was fine. I used XPORT to split my GPS com port to multiple COM ports.
I guess the first question would be, are you using RR and LSXVoid? Or is another program using the same COM Port as your GPS?
