Superior to SirfStarIII

Does anyone know if this GPS which has the MTK chip is really better than the SirfStarIII chip? No one seems to sell this unit in the US as the company is not based in the US. I was looking at the BU-353, but as stated already in this thread it is better than that particular GPS in how many satellites it locks onto. Can anyone confirm this again? I don't really like going through ebay if there is a problem. Thanks!

Also, to do with the 5hz update, does anyone know how to set it so it uses 5hz instead of 1hz, I use iGuidance and there's no way to set the rate on there, itprobably would still only update at 1hz as with all the other software GPS's to my knowledge. Possibly its part of the drivers, but it didn't say in the manual how to set it to 5hz, it just said it was optional. Thanks again.

i couldn't find anyone selling the globaltop gmr75 on ebay. only a few bluetooth units were showing up.

has anyone tried this? http://www.gtop-tech.com/index.asp?pid=310

the specs show marginally better start times than the gmr75 and it has 51 channels vs 32 (does it matter?). also, is it likely that the engineering constraints of such a slim design would result in poorer reception.
