still not word on using different tts?

has anyone been able to change the tts voice in IG4? I have dragon naturally speaking 8 that has hdr & dll files in different voices. is it possible to use these and just rename them for use in IG4? I don't really know what to rename and where to put it though. I can up the files (if it's not against the license, of course), if someone is willing to tackle this. send me a pm and I can give the link. This might not even be possible, but thought it would be worth a try. I haven't even used DNS8 yet, so not sure these voices are any better.

You see all those .wav sound files? You would basically have to manually create the whole set with the same file names. iGuidance basically opens those files in a specific order to create natural sounding sentences. You might want to just try a few first, just to see if you like the new sound. Ive use AT&T Audrey to recreate some of those voices, and it just didnt sound natural because of the pauses between words.

the wav's don't change the text to speech though, right? I replaced the original wavs with Ookami's set, and that didn't change TTS( 2nd part, turn on so n so street). I thought that was the hdr & dll's located in inav/scansoft/realspeaksolo/speech. IG4 uses Samantha's voice, and I have Jane, Jennifer, and Vera, but the files I think would have to be renamed so Ig4 finds them.

some *.wav editing required to remove that pause. Thats what i had to do to mine.

As far as the second part of voice using TTS, there is a registry setting you can do to make it Wav only or TTS only. Personally, i HATE the built in tts... So i run it as wav only untill someone can tell us how to change the TTS voice engine.
