Thumbs up just bought MS S&T 2007

The software is a little weak, not much better than mapquest. but the reciever is great. I can get a good signal from anywhere in my car (altjough I haven't tried the glovebox )
I got a signal on my couch at home.

I was looking into getting the MS Streets & Trips. If the software is not so good can the receiver be used with other software.

I've noticed the POI's are pretty good and it seams to have more of them compared to iGuidance, but iG is much easier to use.

I think until iG 4 comes out with a better POI database, Streets and Trips and iGuidance together cannot be beaten. I use both and it is pretty much a neccessity to have S&T. iGuidance doesnt even have any walmarts near me, even though there are about 6 of them within a 20mile radius.

I have S&T 2006 and have never used it, yet. Although, Mappoint has a programming interface to it, where streets your are pretty much stuck with what you get. The Streets & Trips that i have has voice prompted navigation. I dont think mappoint 2004 did. 2006 might i havn't looked into it that much.

As soon as i get off my lazzy *** and put my carpc back in i will try S&T. got mine from woot.com 40 bucks with USB GPS. Couldn't pass it up.
