Someone just bought me a brand new Earthmate LT-20 USB GPS receiver as a present.
After reading through the forums about this particular receiver, I keep seeing mixed reviews about it. Its almost split in half. Some people feel its a P.O.S. and cant get it to work, others swear by it.
I have also read that the included software (Street Atlas 2008) is a poor piece of software and its by no means touch screen friendly. I have seen some people using this same gps receiver with iGuidance but only in the "show off your project" area, with no reviews or any talk of how it works with iGuidance. Actually I have yet to see anybody review how this particular receiver works with iGuidance.
So, my question is this:
Does the Earthmate LT-20 USB GPS Receiver work >well< with iGuidance? Or is it that bad that even for free as a present, its a better idea to try and sell it off and buy a new receiver...
I am not trying to sound like a n00b here, but I just want to know if I should at least give it a shot before I crack open the seal and ruin its re-sale value. I have read that the sirf III receivers are apparently the best. But those are also pricey
Thanks alot in advance for any advice. I truly appreciate it
