i read this on another forum:

"under start/settings/sounds & notifications
you have to have the Programs/Notifications checked!"

that means go into Sounds under Control Panel right? i did re-enable windows sound scheme with "System Notification" on (a audio icon is shown next to it). this still doesn't work. this really sucks. thanks for all of you who tried to help anyway.

hmm...seems like that fix was for pps. how do i do the same for the pc?

Yes, indeed on a PPC PDA it is important to have a checkmark in Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications> Enable Sounds > Programs, but I don't think there is a similar setting in Windows XP.

Do you have another PC to try your installation DVD on?

hey Marvin,
I finally have time to test it on my home laptop. the test worked and i can hear to voice. so it's definitely my carpc. can it be audio codec?

yep your audio codec is screw. even if u uninstall IG it will still do the same. i had that problem before and I had to do a reformat of the system just to get a quick fix. (IMAGE) 20 Minutes =) )

is there another fix for audio codec problems? i lost my windows installation cd and it's gonna take me a long time to reinstall all my other apps.

Did you buy iGuidance or are you using a pirated version?

My point is if you were using a pirated version that COULD explain a lot, meaning it wasnt burned properely or ripped properely, reasons why you should use the original legit copy.

Have you tried installing it on another computer to see if the problem is consistent?
