Japan Maps/Software?

I recently moved to Japan and would like to know if anyone knows of any decent maps and/or software of the country.
I did some searching on the forums and pretty much came up dry... Google didn't fare much better.
I could definitely use the help finding the maps.. it's easy to get lost here. (understatement)
Thanks in advance!

I think you will have to source locally.
Here in the UK we have the reverse problem. On vehicles imported from Japan with the Japanese navigation system there is no way we can get them to work.
I don't know what the Japanese system is but just changing maps is not enough

I've seen Japanese language GPS mapping software in Japan. Go to Akihabara and check places like the software floor of LAOX Computer Store (pasokon kan). I remember having seen it at probably there before.

You may also want to try looking for Japanese language CarPC forums as well and seeing what they run...

Check www.mapking.com if they have a PC version covering the area you require. I have no personal experience with the product. If you end up buying it, please give feedback so the rest of us know what their software is all about
