Do other mapping programs has this flaw? Like will StreetDeck take the USB GPS signal and run it without whining to high hell like iGuidance does?

And I don't have the install CD. I bought the system used. It's a Delorme product but I don't like their serial port emulator. That's why I'm wording if there's a generic one. I've searched high and low and not come up with one.
