I need some help getting my gps connected to my computer. I have:
vista
BU-353 gps
the correct driver from
www.usglobalsat.com for vista(PL-2303 Vista Driver Installer version 10.50.0.125)
My problem is not that i can not get it installed properly. After the install i can see the prolific usb to serial com port (com5). I even went back into properties and made sure that the blaud rate was set to 4800. but whenever i try to go into gps info it will not connect. I also have the full streetdeck and when i go in to configure the navigation i can get it to pull up the com port but it wil not connect. My last resort was to hook the gps up to my laptop (running xp) installed the xp drivers and it connects and starts sending and receiving information immediately.
