It works for me. How are others finding it?

I've noticed that PC Navigator doesn't save its settings until you exit cleanly. My loader kills PC Navigator so therefore your settings don't get saved. Make sure you exit cleanly if you change any settings.

What did you do to get around this, I'm having exactly the same issues.

Firstly - email Directions support. According to them I can't be seeing the issues because no one else has reported it.

To fix (I'm doing this from memory, so you may have to improvise) - rar the doc_me directory into help_me.rar and store on your c: drive. Then rar the help_pc directory to help_pc.rar and store on the c: drive.

When you see the error in the installer, point it at the c: drive. It should find the files you just rared. After its installed those two rars, it will then error again. You have to point it at e:\data (or whatever your dvd drive letter is). It should install clean after that.

I'm seeing another problem on my carpc too. When I install the beta patch for windowed mode, all works fine until I exit Navigator. I then get an error. It means my settings won't get saved.

I have mailed their support team, with this issue and now a second I am getting.

I have managed to get a clean install onto my system, but it just won't run, i Get the splash screen as it tries to start up, then it all disappears into nothing.

I have tried their patches on the site but they say not for my version

Yes, I have got IndieVolume to work. Nav 7 takes priority.
However I have a problem with Nav voice directions

When I select the 'navigate to' button, the calculated route and first graphic instruction appear very quickly. However, The voice instruction says "re-calculating the route" and repeats this every 4 seconds until the first turn is reached when the correct instruction is given and the programme behaves normally with the correct audio instructions.
Well, almost. If the instructions have been quiet for about 10 minutes, when I am about 2 miles from the next turn it bursts into life and repeats the last instruction, whatever that was, again every 4 seconds. As I actually get to the junction the correct turn instruction is given.

I think I can rule out other software as this occurs even when I have shut everything else down and run Nav 7 on its own.

I e-mailed Directions Ltd who reckon it could be my GPS. (The map plot is totally accurate all the time)

I'm using a Globalsat BU-353.

Anyone else having problems?

I've solved the problem -- it was IndieVolume.

Switching off the programme made no difference. It was not until I removed IndieVolume from the system that the Nav 7 voice directions behaved normally.

i've had this problem tonight too.

here's the email i sent to indievolume support

Quote:
i have downloaded the trial version of indievolume. i have set up my satnav (pc navigator 7) as exclusive. but this does mute winamp. I then put winamp into indievolume, and now when the music is playing and the satnav speaks the music is muted, but then instead of the music coming back on the satnav repeats that same command over and over again.

can this be investigated. i will obviously not be purchasing the product unless this is fixed.
