The fact is, when you type in all caps in
this forum, it parses it so that each word is capitalized. It loks ugly and is difficult to read. Don't believe me? Go look at your own post!

The mp3car.com forums are all about installing computers in our vehicles. That's not to say that someone can't help you here or that it's inappropriate. It's simply less likely to get you any assistance with your issue. If you interpreted my reply as one saying you're not welcome, then I apologize for giving you that impression.
The fact is, you're wanting assistance with non-PC GPS hardware. Considering the focus of the mp3car.com forums, you tell us whether this was the best choice as far as where you'll get assistance.

UPDATE~ i have struck paydirt. i found out that the mirror/lcd/compass/temp device i purchased was only designed to work with a nav unit made by VDO DAYTON INC. these nav units are mainly sold in europe. i found that is does have maps for the USA and i've been told its a very nice system. i know pioneer uses a twenty pin molex cable also but don't know if its compatable. looks like i'll be shelling out $900.00 for a VDO. oh well. thanks for the help everyone. i would say don't buy products from china but that would include almost everything electronic out there!
