here is a trick to saving Home setting even if your address does not come up on the map.

make sure you have no other location in your favorite folder.

drive to the location you want to call home.

Put a way point at that location on the map. call it anything you want to call it.

Save it in your favorites folder in IG3 or IG4.

Now, close IG3/4 . go to your maps folder on c: drive ( C:\iNav iGuidance ).

You should see files called:

" favorites.dat "
" home.dat "

delete the file " home.dat "

now copy " favorites.dat " and paste it in the same folder.
It should copy it out as "Copy of favorites.dat "

Now , just rename " Copy of favorites.dat " to " home.dat "

and that location will now be your HOME setting in IG3/4

I started a new thread about somethig like this, but i wanted to ask here too. Is there a way to change the location that iguidance looks for the map at? I dont want it to look for c:\inav guidance, but rather point to another location, ie d:\programs\iguidance....

I'm running an CF install of windows and have limited space on my C:, so i have to install the maps on a differnet hdd.
