yes is should work (buy your gps wont be selectable until you buy the upgrade for google earth or use the google earth road runner plugin)

google earth gets its maps from the internet, however it is possible to cache the maps on your had drive, so a internet connection isnt needed

its 35mb because the maps arnt stored until you start browsing, then the size will increase

you can reduce the size iguidance takes up by selecting map regions, and only installing areas you will go to @ 1gb id imagine thats all of the maps!

1 - Last I heard, Google Earth won't interface w/ a GPS receiver unless you lay out the cash for the plus version. It's only $20.

2 - Yes, the BU353 will work with Google earth.

3 - Google Earth does pull map data from the internet, however there are utilities that will cache map data locally.

Well, I have the BU-353 and it works great with Google Earth.

In my opinion, Google Earth is TOO SLOW of an update to keep up with your car (refresh is like 1 second). That, and the screen doesn't pan fast enough to keep up with my car.
