DeLorme serial emulator popup

I just got an updated version of the DeLorme serial emulator for my Earthmate usb GPS unit (v1.09 I believe). Whenever the PC boots it pops up an info screen for a few seconds. Is there a way to disable this? I don't see any options in its menus.

I don't get a popup with mine. I'm not sure what version it is at this point either though since my wife has the car.

are you using Iguidance with the delorme unit? was wondering if it was a total POS like mine is. just freezes and the map doesn't update until you're nearly to the destination, as well as reports the wrong location periodically, etc. thinking of ditching the delorme unit and going with something else. Wife just called and said it's got her totally lost (using IG3) - so that's kind of the last straw.

I use Streets & Trips 2007 with my Earthmate GPS, which a friend gave me. I'm happy enough with Streets, even though I don't use the driving directions part of it very much. The Earthmate takes forever and a day sometimes to get a lock, even in wide open areas. Other times it gets a lock within a minute or so. I've thought about upgrading to a BU353 or something, but I don't care enough about it right now.

I just downloaded the updated version of the driver like last week. I figured newer stuff should work better, but I dunno if it does anything different. Probably just supports newer hardware or something.

I downloaded the driver last week as well (talking about the serial emu right?)

Only problem I have with it is I get a popup from the the virtual serial software saying "missing OEM application" or something along those lines. Re-installed Street Atlas that came with my lt-20 and it still comes up..dunno... gonna order that 353 when payday rolls around I guess. Tired of this lt-20 as it works great....when it works...but hell, even light rain makes it useless.
