Sorry, here's clarification:this should fix the issue on both XP and Vista.

When I had sent the question to their support I was running XP, so their reply was in regards to XP. Over the weekend I installed Vista and found that it was exhibiting the same issue (locking up). I then tried the files they sent me on Vista and they seem to have fixed the issue also. So - it should fix it on both OSes.

Note: the directions from support state you should place the files in the system32 folder. I found out that for Vista, they need to be placed there AND into the system32/drivers folder in order for it to work (I went into device manager and looked at the properties of the COM port, checked driver details and saw that it was using one of those files in the system32/drivers folder also, so I copied both files into both locations).

Hopefully that clears it up.

I'll give that a try tomorrow then!

Thanks!
