Globalsat GPS 353 not for small screens?

Hi all. From my searches the Global Sat GPS 353 seems to be a very popular model. However, I keep reading it is not for small screens. I have a 7"in dash monitor. Anybody have any screen shots as to how it will perform?

My other option is the Holux GR-213 USB. I haven't heard much of it though. Anyone here use the HOLUX GR-213? Can you put it under your seat? What about during a blizzard?

Running Intel OSX

Putting a GPS receiver under your seat wouldn't achieve the best reception.
Most people have it on their dash or rear deck. Some attach it to the exterior of the car if those locations don't work well. It needs to have a reasonably clear view of the sky, which it wouldn't get when placed under your seat.

I want to know where you're reading that the BU353 isn't the best for small screens, especially since the relationship between the GPS receiver and the screen size is nonexistant, as Nomader pointed out.

Well...actually I read it on this site, not suited for small screens, but I wanted more detailed info. Check page 2, about 1/4 of the way down. By Routus and xbi0S. They just don't really explain what they mean by it. So i'm trying to decide what to get. What about the Holux? Any ideas on that one?

They are talking about software which is MS Streets&Trips and not hardware.
S&T's UI is just like any other Windows program and it's designed to be used with keyboard/mouse combo:

Where software like iGuidance is made for both desktop and CarPC use the UI is much better for small touchscreens:

Read further.
They're talking about the interface for MS Streets & Trips not being friuendly on a smaller screen, which is 100% correct (unless, of course, you have fingers as thin as a pencil!).
