GlobalTop HUG GPS

anyone tried or seen this?

Looks quite interesting... not sure if I'd want to go with something like that or a seperate GPS and HUD.

it looks like a good idea

but most sat navs will do all that anway, only advantage i can see is if you plan on using independantley for the times your carputer is off / or out the the car?

iGuidance will tell you your speed digitally. Personally, I HATE things on my windshield (why i build a carPC in the first place instead of getting a garmin gps) so If that kinda stuff bugs you then it isn't practical

I think it would be more of a wow factor. I dont care for digital speedometers, they just dont tell you acceleration like good old analogs do

ahhh.... yes... I had it confused with another HUD unit I was looking at. The original HUD I looked at connected to the speed wire of the existing gauges, so the speed would be as accurate as the original gauges. I must have assumed this did the same thing.

Now that I've re-read it... it's not that cool
