Is Streets & Trips Worth Its Salt Nowadays?

Greetings,

I have been looking for a piece of Nav software to use with my carputer. I was planning on going with iGuidance, but after the whole iG4 fiasco that has conspired so far, I'm inclined to shy away from it. I was reviewing the featureset for S&T08 and it looks like they have been getting better with being touchscrren fridnly, at least with the actual navigation guide section. I don't have to plan my route while driving or anything (which is unsafe anyway!), so I think I can deal with the smaller icons. I'm also going with the 10.4" screen, so everything's gonna be a bit bigger anyways. So, is S&T now worth it as an in-vehicle navigation software? Thanks

If you don't need to do any elaborate trip planning, then iG4 is excellent. Easy-to-use, etc. You will find a lot of peer support for iGuidance here at the site.

S&T has been improving the GPS side of the program over the past few versions, too. They are both great applications, it just depends on what exactly your needs are and your personal preferences.
