GPS SW that will work with Rockwell Binary.

I just bought a etak gps with the sony skymap software at a garadge sale for $10. I Have used this softwere with it and it works. But i was hopeing to find a more newer gps software programe, like S&T.

I have the et-gsp20 model that only uses rockwell binary output .

So if any one could help me and point out which gps software are compatable with this GPS would be great.

Thanks...

Is it a PCMCIA GPS card? I had an etak GPS with sony Software back in 2003. On the GPS unit there is a small switch that enable you to select rockwell binary or NMEA output.

If not, then its not worth messing with it. You can get a hardware based that translate the rockwell to NMEA, they cost more than a decent SIRF3 unit though. If you are lucky you might find a software version of this translator.

To tell you the truth that GPS is crap, I mean real crap. The fix time is like 30 mins I got lost a few times cause of its crap sensitivity and crap fix time. Bin it and save yourself the hassle.

No its the serial port one with only rockwell binary. I was hoping for some sort of program that still used it. What about older versions of S&T from like 2003 or SA2003. will those work with this? I just want somthing other then Skymap Travler. So any other suggestions???
