You could try to contact iNav to see if they have some old stock still available. But at times it may not be as easy to judge a product by online talk. We usually talk about issues. There isn't much point in talking about stuff that works well.

After fooling woith 4.0 for a while, I'd say it's at least as good as 3.0.
Some people have had some activation issues, but that's the only real PITA I've seen.
And remeber, people on this board tend to install/remove/hack quite a bit. If you're just doing a normal install, I'll bet you'll be just fine............
Cheers

okay? wow..now im confused on whether to buy the 4.0 or not..i know that if i do get it, i will get the real full version. but ive heard about the whole saving favorite places issue and such..i really havent heard much good things about 4.0..which is why i wanted to go with 3.0..but now im curious on what good things 4.0 has..i was told that it was not even worth all the trouble to get the 4.0..are there any fixes to the many problems yet?

If you havent bought one yet, it is just simply stupid to buy outdated nav software. Newer maps are #1. Increased POIs like they added those all illusive "Walmart", "Best Buy" and "RadioShack" stores to the POIs which were never on the lists by me in v3.
Full TTS support (even though the lady sounds like a cryptkeeper).
It has never crashed on me or anything. Neither did v3.
v4 is just better. Only thing I dont like is activation. I hate activation no matter what software it comes on.
As already mentioned, it is sort of stupid to start a thread about "i bought ig4 and it works like it is supposed to...". People would say congrats capt. obvious. You post when you have issues. Like all the M2-ATX posts. Pretty much all of them are user error overloading them and blowing them up.

okay. because reading all those horror stories saying how they crashed their comps, restarted them, errors and such got me a bit scared. then people were saying how v3 was better and recommended not even thinking about v4. i did like the fact that the pois were increased, and more maps and the tts support. but then i thought..is it worth it if it keeps crashing? well who knows..i guess i just may have to give it a whirl to see if it really works for me or not..i hope it does!

if you read why they were crashing you would know it is because of activation problems. Installed multiple times and iGuidance's servers suck at this right now. I am sure they will fix it because of all the complaints. Or use a cracked exe that doesnt need activation and install from your legit DVD with that. No activation, means no problems.
