Favor from BU353 owner...

Hi all!

I was hoping someone with a BU353 could log onto it using Hyperterminal, and post up a screen dump of what it outputs.

I'm building an NMEA interpreter and just want to make sure I'm using the right 'sentances'. My 353's built into the car, and it's 200 miles away.

Thanks!
Sam

Here is a good guide to NMEA sentences. Since NMEA is a standard, your interpreter should work with any GPS unit that outputs NMEA-formatted data.

Yes thanks DarquePervert, I have that. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

As you can see there are rather a few possible NMEA sentences, and I don't want to program an interpreter for each one. Usually GPS devices use GGA and RMC but they can also use GLL,GSV and/or others.

I wish to know exactly which sentences the BU353 uses.
