Ipaq 3955

I bought A IPAQ 3955 with navman sleeve off ebay... well...........the last owner installed opie OS it doesn't suit me at all. I cant connect to my PC so i cant Install windows mobile. If anyone knows how i can fix this some help would be great.

It looks like you might have a problem, the first thing is to find someone who has the original backup of the Ipaq, or it is possible that the file is on an external chip that you received with it. Search all files for a folder or file called "backup.pbf" that is the backup file if you find that then go to Ipaq backup and click restore, you will lose all data that is currently on the Ipaq but you should be able to sync. Let me know if that works for you and meanwhile I will look for other options for you!

Thanks for the advice. Turns out tho the person i bought it off had two ipaqs one working and the other not. Guess which one he sent me. By chance he lived in the same city as me we met up swapped devices, my problem is solved and im happy. Thank you again for your advice. If theres anything you need help you never know I might be able to help you.
