IG4 locking up??

Ok, I turned on all the POI's and got a memory error message. Now, IG locks up on a white screen and stops responding, before anything loads. How can I get it running again?

Hack the registry (Under HK_CUR_USER)?
I couldn't find anything useful, but worth a try.
Maybe just delete the registry, run the program to force iG to recreate the registry. If that doesn't fit, reinstall.

There isn't a garage that I am aware of that would touch a PC installed in a vehicle.

Considering the vast majority of us do this as a hobby, we do out installations ourselves, rather than have them done by a so-called professional.
As such, a professional shop (even one that specializes in vehicle electonics) wouldn't touch it either.

Rather than just spout off the first thing that comes to your mind, please make an attempt to understand the nature of the problem before offering a useless solution.

Curious about the out of memory error...
How much physical RAM do you have?
How big is the paging file?
Is the paging file managed by windows or set by you?

Uninstalling and reinstalling didnt work. Still locks up on the white screen.

The computer says it has 480MB of RAM....

Update: Ok, got it working again. What a pain. Had to remove it, delete ALL the files and delete the registry, reinstall it and it works. Thanks guys.

Did you try my suggestion yet? Nuke the registry.

If you just uninstall-reinstall without touching the registry, thing won't change as iG installer isn't overwrite the registry setting.
