Iguidance 4 install location
It seems that iguidance is hardcoded to look for maps/any other stuff from c:\program files/....., is there any way to tell iguidance to look for program files from a different location? Like d:\iguidance, or something? This is pretty poor programming on iguidance's part if they hardcode such a thing....i may have to look for an alternative solution if i cant change the location.

i'm not sure if this is wat you want, but installed iguidance then place a copy of the image file on another drive, and mount that drive with a virtual iso program, and that worked perfectly. Hope that helps you out. If you want a free program its called magicdisk or magicdisc.

copy the installation files to the root of any local hard drive (C: for example), run setup.exe from the hardisk instead of the CD.
IGuidance will then load the maps from the hard drive it was installed from.

Moving it doesnt work. I've even tried with copying the install CD to the location where i want to install, then reinstalled. When i load up, it says Cannot find map data files.
I moved the install files to d:\apps\iNav Guidance\Setup
The maps are in d:\apps\iNav Guidance\Setup\Maps\
I installed to d:\apps\iNav Guidance

Important part.. The root directory.
Copy the setup files to D:\
So you have;
D:\setup
D:\iNav iGuidance
D:\setup.exe
etc..
Then re-install

the manual only gives instructions for the C: drive, but I think it will work on other drives as well but it has to be in the drive root. in other words you cannot have it in your "apps" folder, it would need to be in D:\iNav iGuidance\
just move it into the root and it should work fine
