I used to search for the same thing...I even wanted to buy a copy without the GPS...
BUT
The software doesn't work without their GPS, so do I want to buy it? NO, does a copy do me any good? NO.
Now if I already spent $300 for a copy and the GPS, then I would probably have enough disposable income to afford the update if I really needed it...
Of course since I only have about $300 invested in my car mp3/gps...spending another $300 for another gps box and more software is ridiculous.
...note to self, need to find a way to load "Earthviewer" and have 3d terrain maps running off GPS.
