Garmin Nuvi 260 Doesn't Have Drivers?
I can't find any drivers for the Nuvi 260.

Does anyone know of any?

Do I absolutely need them to link to link my Garmin with my pc for navigation?

No, once you plug the unit in your computer should recognize it. Go under my computer it should show up as a detachable drive.

Can the Garmin Nuvi output NMEA sentences to the PC?

I don't think it can, so you couldn't use it as the GPS receiver for a PC.
Garmin's website doesn't list this capability in the specs for the Nuvi 260.
