GPS Software?

I am looking for a software to run my laptop that is similiar to Streets and Trips from MS.

Just curious if anyone has something similiar setup in their vehicle on a LCD and how well it looks and works? Looking for the easiest software to be able to see on the 6.5 screen I have.

Had no issues with Delorme Street Atlas 2003 ... and it's $39 at CompUSA.

Simple enough. I'll give it a shot.

Any other suggestions?

CoPilot 2003 is by far the best in car navigation for step by step use. It sucks for trip planning though. The interface is also perfect for small LCD with composit input. The second best is probably Street Atlas 2003. But SA2003 requires At least a true VGA screen. SVGA will work even better as there are too many details. As for price, Copilot retails at $400.

I agree about Co-Pilot 2002/2003 being the best step by step Navagation software.

I rarely use trip planing, I just enter the address and start driving. CP always gets me where I am going.

CP would be better if it could run in a window

It can be.

Edit-preference-copilot- check the show task bar-DONE
it only works in passanger mode. In driver mode, it will block the task bar. Voice prompt still works and all.

Yes, I belive it has about 30 voice commands. You do not need to hold any buttons down, once it is listening it listens for all commands.
