Right, in my ongoing efforts in iGO8, I've created a new colourmap for iGO8. I lightend up the base colourmap, and changed all the road colours to either black or grey, with the exception of dead-end/no-exit roads which are red. I also removed the city overlay from the terrain as well.
Just dump the files in your ui_igo8/common folder. They will overwrite your existing ones, so back them up first if you want to go back.
