Rooftop GPS/Cell/WiFi antenna worth it?

Hi, y'all...

Just curious to know if anyone's tried the Rooftop GPS/Cellular/PCS/WiFi antenna that mp3car's selling in it's store, and if it performs well.

Can you advise if there's separate feed lines for each device or if I have to supply some sort of splitter? Also, how is the thing mounted to the roof?

Is it durable? Is there any desensitization or interference between the bands?

Thanks!

hmmm.... that looks promising. I am curious to how well it may work

The Product Manual is located on the page, it is only for 2.4GHZ WiFIi and has seperate leads for each connection

Anyone try it yet?

This seems a great solution for reducing antennae, but if you're looking for improved performance, forget it! The manual states 0dB gain for all antennae. My built-in wifi antenna has 2dB gain, my cellphone (PCS) antenna has 8dB gain, and my external GPS reflector gives me another 2dB. I guess it all depends on what you want - looks vs range.

I am somewhat concerned by performance... currently I'm using a Peak Reception wireless amp pushing my signal through 10dB antenna. Going back down to 0dB gain antenna would cut my performance 10x... I need every little bit on the road. I'd seriously entertain it tho if it had XM.

I bought it and used it for a year or so on my previous van. Great concept and looks great, but performance is not there. You can do better with individual antennas.

I use it in my car and it does make everything look A LOT better. But the performance is unfortunately poor.

It's a shame that they can't seem to put together an antenna that would combine all of these services AND perform well. It'd even be tolerable if they made it a little longer to avoid having to use "alternatives" to good ol' wire & separation.

Good to know. Can anyone make some suggestions to high gain alternatives even if they are separates?
