Driver navigator software

Does anyone know of any software that reads out descriptions of turns, something like a rally-driver's navigator?

I'm hoping for something that will let me define a route and it will say out aloud a description of the turns as they come up.

I see that your location is in Australia. The software that comes to mind that does have text-to-speech, and can work in Australia, would include Garmin Mobile PC and TravRoute CoPilot. The software will tell you "Turn right on Main Avenue in 100 meters."

I think that the OP wants something more than simple turn-by-turn directions.
Rally drivers have a co-driver that reads notes on a course to the driver to alert them of what is ahead. Descriptions of a turn usually indicate some measure of radius, appropriate speed and/or what gear the driver should be in. The notes alsyu indicate jumps, changes in grade, transition from one surface to another (pavement to gravel, for example) and other data important to driving the course as fast as possible.

That's exactly what I meant.

I didn't know that much information was given, I was thinking of something more basic, just letting the driver know the radius of the next turn.

Anyone know of any programs that does this?

I don't know of any.
Have you considered hiring a co-driver?

Has anyone got any experience with coding a program that reads gps information? I'm thinking of maybe writing something up, but have no experience in it. Gonna start googling programming gps.
