the only difference was I added the skype messaging. Maybe thats it. Check your ini file to make sure SmsEnabled is set to false if you dont have skype installed. I think I left it as true in the version I released. My bad. I will change.

[edit] Just tested it on a clean vm machine and it crashes so I guess I have a bigger problem. Looking into it now. Keep you posted. Its to do with not having skype installed.

Been working on this last few days. It was crashing without skype so I fixed but now with skype its not recognising the phone numbers correctly. Hopefully I'll crack it this weekend.

Geo fencing would be awesome and it's nice to know you're committed to this!

sorry for the long wait everyone. I think I've fixed it so that it wont crash now if skype isn't installed.

If anyone wants to test the skype enabled version pm me.

Ok So i just did a bunch of testing with the new version and its almoust all ready!

A couple things...

When I resume from hibernate the gps tracking on the actual client resumes fine and starts logging, but a little window pops up that reads RESEND COMPLETE this disrupts the frontend and needs to go

And it will not continue to send data until i hit dissconnect gps then hit reconnect GPS again, Then it starts streaming fine to the server again... I dont understand why because the gps keeps reading fine right out of hibernate??

Im trying to get this to start streaming right out of hibernate for theift tracking So its really close!!

You should post your paypal for beer money donations

resend will go. It just shows that any unsent gps co-ords have be updated to the server.

Resume streaming after hibernate I will have a look at.

and thanks for the offer but I do it for fun.....

so im guessing the carputer would need some type of internet accesss??? or does the GPS tracker SW track the GPS itself over the sat's?

It connects through any network you connect to. So if you have a wireless network card it could connect to any network (this is done outside of the tracker though. You need something like netstumbler.) Obviously it works better if you have internet as it will track in real time.

But it'll work without internet. It'll track you as you drive and then upload the tracking data when you get back within your homes wireless network range.
