The installer doesnt install any shortcuts to the programs unless i didnt see the option?

I added some extra debug to see when it resends the data as I'm wondering if its just a timing issue.

Can you send me your debug log and your settings for retry period and tracking period.

the installer only creates an uninstall link. I'll fix it so that it creates startup links as well.

This software sounds great!

I take it that it only tracks one vehicle at a time? Like on a client PC you can't see all the vehicles connected to the server can you?

Cheers

I've put the latest version in the car and it embeds into FreeICE very nicely!

It was tracking to the home server when I was on the driveway and in
range of the wireless.

Does it cache tracking data when it looses connection? I took it for a
spin around the block. So it lost connection for 10 minutes. I was hoping
it would send the tracking data when it came back into range of my wireless
but it didn't seem to

It tracks as many users as you want. The server displays one at a time and geofencing only currently works for the display car but it tracks all.

Edit: Sorry just noticed you asked if the car pc could see everyone connected to the server. Thats not possible I'm afraid.

Hi Cerberus long time no see

It continues to track and stores the data on the car pc in an xml file. When you return to a network it will resend ALL data not marked as true to the server. The last updated text will then show the new time. Now the check for the network is an event so as soon as windows detects a new network connection it should fire off an update to the server. If the server doesn't respond BUT the network is still available it uses the retry period setting for the time to elapse before trying again.

So in short it should have recorded your 10 minute trip and resent it to your server as soon as you got within range of your network AND windos detected it. Check debug log to see what happened and what failed

tomorrow! (wifey has me blocked ino the driveway at the moment)

Odd... Everything in the xml on the client is 'true' for transmitted. But
the only pushpins on the map are the ones parked on the drive in range
of the wifi...

Took another drive. Tried diconnecting and reconnecting the GPS.

All looks fine.

Arrive home.. Wifi kicks in.. But all it sends is the 'live' data. So
I get another couple of pushpins sat on my driveway but none
of the 'stored' data from the journey makes it across.

I'll check the xml on the car tomorrow. Something odd is going on!

I'll try and pair the pc with the iPhone tomorrow and see what happens
with a live net connection....
