I have the BCD996XT scanner that has GPS support for its close call feature. This requires connecting directly to the GPS unit with an RS232 cable. However, I have the GPS unit sold in the mp3car.com store, which has a USB designed to connect to a computer and thus can't accept a connection from the scanner. Would it be possible to use the computer to trick the scanner into thinking it's connected to the GPS, maybe through a virtual comport?
