Copilot 2003 + rand mcnally gps wrong??

Hi I'm using a rand mcnally streetfinder gps antenna, and Copilot 2003. But this setup seems to give my wrong directions.

Ok the antenna is mounted in the back rear windshield.
When I'm going Copilot will tell me to "Turn righ on 82nd street"
But that street is a left turn only.

And when I turn at the next street, it will say I am at a different street. Is this just a poor antenna placement? or Copilot error?

I would say inaccurate directions from Copilot.

well ok I just ordered db9 serial and ps/2 connector extenders. Hopefully if I place the gps antenna right under my front dash, it'll be good. Oh and I seem to get connections like within 30 seconds, on 4 different test.

Copilot in general does seem to get me from A to B but just not 100% efficient. Thats what you get for a $399 program

What do you mean by under the front dash? You mean remove the instrument cluster and put it behind that? Good luck with the extensions.

BTW, does that GPS just plug into the USB and nothing else?

oops did I type under? I meant on my front left dash. Right next to the air vent. Thats directly under the windshield and would have a direct view of the sky, no tints.

And I have Copliot 2003 with the Rand McNally Gps receiver. The receiver uses serial db9 and ps/2 connector for the power (go figure)

check your PM raekwon

That seems like a logical place to put it. PMs checked and double-checked.
