Yeah.. there is one road here where the there is a road underneath an over pass but the map show they intesect. When I use AGPS with driving assistant..it tell me to turn left onto it, I would fall of the the overpass if I listen to it . Also when I was on the highway (TC-1), many time it tell me to turn onto the local street, there is no road but a huge ditch along that section of the highway.

This is what I mean, somehow it think I can cross the highway and get onto that road.

And Columbia street and 99A/1A does not intesect..

The problem is not with the software, it is with the data. Microsoft uses data from NavTech and TeleAtlas which are the two best street level data providers in North America.

All street data in the US is based on the US Government Tiger Data and then enhanced. It is an extremely expensive thing to do. As the number of users of the data increase these companies will be able to put more money into the datasets themselves. This will be reflected in both the verification of existing data (e.g. does this one way street go north or south like it is in my database) and in terms of updates to the data as new roads are built and old ones are rerouted.

I know we all want perfect data today (me too), but it is amazing how well these companies have done given the tremendous area that they have to cover.

I like AGPS too. I never got around to paying for the full verison, but it's worth it. The site looks gone now.

The site is down, but:

"MP2Kmag is pleased to host a download mirror of TechGT's Advanced GPS Add-in For Microsoft MapPoint for our readers."
