Europe Navigation Software

What is the best one? I've been using Mappoint, but unless they let me rotate maps (as I said on the last post ) I wont be plenty happy. Someone with 3d maps? I've also used NaviPC, but unfortunatly I can't find spanish maps.

Are you using mappoint? As far as I've seen, it's pretty precisely, givin detailed info for streets on most major spanish citys, and I love the activex control, who let's me emmbed it on my apps, and make better use of the 7" screen. Have u developed anything with mappoint? What other alternatives can I found with ocx or any control wich I can put onto my apps?

thanks!

Yes I play also with the mappoint ocx...

It's perfect to get your position on the map...

But having a full routing software it's difficult

Check:

http://www.swi-info.com/ppc/index.asp

Screen from a pda but work also with a pc!

Navigator is OK for the money ( I have it also there is a review on my site ) by Destinator kicks A.

Destinatore is designed for use in a car where as Navigator is a very Windows feeling app.... not what you want while on the move...

A trick for mappoint:

You can use the latest database of
AUTOROUTE Europe 2003 with Mappoint 2002....

You'll have better map! (search on the internet for this trick)

For destinator is there a specific version of destinator or pocket PC version and laptop version are inclued in destinator II?

(like mapsonic wich can be used either with the laptop or a pocket PC)

Hi, I'm from Action Replay so can give a little bit of feedback on Navigator. It does look very much like a windows solution and the buttons are far too small for use when driving. However the search and postcode are excellent and then it's a couple of mouse clicks to put it into Nav mode. After that you don't need to touch it. If you go off-route it automatically recalculates the route for you. The spoke commands are clear and the on-screen display backs it up. I've looked at many options before deciding on Navigator. It is exceptional value for money, I'm selling the European version including GPS for £125. ake a look

Destinator 2 without Touchscreen

Question for the people who have Destinator 2: -

Is it configurable to assign hotkeys to the buttons in the interface? I don't have touchscreen, and control my MP3 stuff with a numeric keypad. Obviously I'll have a qwerty keyboard for inputting destinations etc but want to be sure that I can control the whole app with relative ease from the keyboard (preferably single-key not shifted hotkeys etc).

Cheers, Ginge.
