CoPilot 2003 Screen Shots

I tried looking at their website, searching the forums, etc, but I could not find /any/ screen shots. Even that hidious EXE flash file from their websit barely showed anything.

Where can I see what CoPilot looks like? I want Screenshots! I won't shell out $399 on this program if I don't even know what it looks like.

Sorry but, I do not have anyway to get images off my truck PC right now, so these will have to do. Hope it helps a little bit.

That seems somewhat unpolished for a $399 product. Does anyone else agree? The interface looks rather old, such as a product from 1999.

I have read this is the best product though for In-Car navagation...

Thanks for posting those pics, I'd still like to see more pics if anyone else wants to post some!

The interface is designed for quick reading and interaction while driving (your passenger should be the one operating the system) :-)

Anyway, it works very well on the road and the big buttons make it easy to run from a touchscreen. I can
't runt it anymore in my setup and actually kind of miss it...

Lots of Copilot pics 1 of 2

You dont have GPS nav before so you would think that flashy colors, detailed maps lots of infos are what you're looking for. You can try Street Atlas 2003 for $50 if you dont mind installing a 10.4" SVGA screen and sit on the passanger seat. But when you're sitting on the driver seat, You want something straight forward with no fine print and gets you where you want to go with out spending too much time setting up the destinations. If you want a GPS program that basically shows you where you are on the map without doing too much step by step directions you can try Street Atlas 2003.

If I go "off route" does it re-calucate the directions?

Can I avoid a road if I choose to? Can I have it select a different way (most direct, lease miles, fastest travel, least highways, most highways, etc, etc)

Does CoPilot show Speed like Street Atlas does?

I read that the voice is pathetic in CoPilot. My friend has a Mercedes Nav unit (COMAND) that has a great voice. Very fluid and human like.

Copilot yes automatically unlimited auto re-routes.
Street Atlas yes you have use the mouse or touch screen to click "back on track" button everytime you miss a turn.

I dont go into settings alot but I do remember CP lets you do fastest or shortest.

No CP doesnt show speed on the screen. If you hit the speak button then it'll tell you the travelling speed. Not acurate though CP is about 10" faster than actual speed.

All the dedicated nav such as ALpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, factory navs: Acura, BMW, TOyota, Lexus use human like voice. So good luck with that.

Actually there's a patch that you can download from Travroute that fixes this problem.

Is there a way to disable the GPS trail on CP? I hate the damn trail. It's already bad enough that I have to deal with trails on Street Atlas2K3

How did you get that keyboard to pop up? I didn't see any options for an onscreen keyboard.
