269 Euro for the 5.0 Pro software.
199 Euro for the european maps.

No Alturion is far better than Destinator. I have tested both of them on PDA. Theres 2 version of Destinator, PDA and PC. Destinator look like it came from PDA then converted to PC.

Alturion comes with both version in one package. Its design as a PDA applications really. The PC version is there to help you export maps to your PDA but I guess the PC version is as good, just more fidly to use.

Did you get hold of the Alturion ccsnet?

I thought you can get an RDS radio card to receive the TMC signals rather than from the NET?

They are not that easy to find and Alturion did not tell me much about the hardware. I am intrested in the PC version ( My consider if I can learn more ) what do you know about that version. It look very windows like..

There is not much out there but have a look on my site - on the links and dowload section you will find a load of TMC and TMC software links.

Thanks

Found this TMC receiver - not pc based and rather pricey but could be bodged perchance??..

http://www.conrad-anderson.co.uk/sat-nav/MT5010.htm

Also found this

http://www.gewi.com/

who are people dealing with traffic info solutions. I am downloading their TMC decoder - I'll post if it can do anything useful!

Well the TMC decoder didn't work, it just hanged whilst loading...

On another tip, there is a different traffic data system being developed called TPEG

http://www.dabbar.co.uk/tpeg.htm

which is still being sorted apparently. More for use with DAB (there is a pilot channel being used now) and the net. There is a test page here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/xml/

but I can't check it out as it needs IE6 (for xml). Can anyone have a look?
