my mappoint vs street atlas thread

So i got a new earthmate, the one that is nmea compliant.

I install street atlas and this software just blows. For some reason it has a hard time getting a sat lock when mappoint is fine.

Not to mention once it got a lock it thought i was driving south 20 miles then back up. This is not that great either for city driving.. it put me on the wrong road a few times.

Mappoint on the other hand did a lot better job.

For those who get an earthmate, you might want to consider getting another software package

i assume you were using mappoint with agps correct?
